Reception Theory

1. The preferred reading symbolises and shows that The audience completely agrees with the way producer present type of groups due to the way they dress or the way they act . It is trying to inject the fact that there are no changes and it will always be the same no matter what.

2. Oppositional reading is the name for when the audience completely disagrees with the way the producers present them . One ways are on how young people are presented are such as ; Gangsters , violent . Some people may disagree completely because some may say that children do not always act like this .

3. In a negative way . One way is that they present young children as gangsters who follow life
misguided as they always hang around in the street according to the film .

4. Young people might reject this intended message due to their beliefs and experiences . This is because some may say that young people do not always act like due to their opinions and perspectives .

5. The preferred media target for this advert is that they are trying to convince the audience to consume their products and the way they do this is that they create denotations on the glamorous product the company (McDonald's) has established/created however this advert may be a negotiated picture where it presents the burger as a nice taste tasty product where consumers can enjoy the taste of the burger . Some partly disagree with the intended message because it may be unhealthy for other consumers and costumers as the burger might have a lot of fat and can cause illnesses . This is also a disadvantage because this will make the company economically poor and will also have a decrease in profit and this impact can result into a crisis for the company as they are demonstrating too much unhealthy food for people and parents can be affected like this as they don't want their child sick .

6. A advert I would like to talk about today is the Netflix payment advertisement . This a oppositional reading because payment is required and there are other Industries which allow you to watch a range of content for free : BBC IPLAYER . This is important because the Industry might escalate into a "niche" Industry as the company will have a decrease in viewers and as a result this may lead to the company being less economically successful .  This shows that oppositional reading can have many impacts and effects .
