1. We don't listen to it live however we listen to it when its on demand or apps such as spotify and iTunes .

3.Beats 1 radio required a subscription and once paid you are into the entire music catalogue however you do not own the music . Apple beats 1 is free and doesn't require a montly subscription .

4.Apple anticipated that if we they got consumers in apple beats radio it would encourage the radio consumers to purchase iTunes music which would mean more money for apple .

5. They had existing fan base therefore if they were appointed by apple they could bring their niche audiences with them .

6. They are on demand and can be listened at anytime compared to other streaming services which broadcast it online .

10 Beats 1 radio goes against expected nature of radio as consumers mainly listened to this for information purposes and the news . The fact that now music is streamed and broadcasted in radio stations this could mean that radio is much different than what it was especially in the 1960s.
